I have beef with not one, but TWO separate main antagonists who not only wear sunglasses, but have unique accents, red eyes, poor eyesight which the protagonists exploit, are huge perfectionists, wear black or simply dark colors, and have superhuman abilities that range from super strength, speed, and regeneration…

Duecalion and Albert Wesker… huh

Saw this on reddit and seemed like a great question to ask you, do you think Ducalion was a bitten or born werewolf?

there is an argument to be made either way due to how little information we have on deucalion's past but i'll give you my speculation.

i've always found it interesting that his name is deucalion. in greek mythology he is the son of prometheus and something of an analog to noah from the bible.

in the same season and in the same episode we get duecalion's backstory we also get gerard argent telling the myth of lycaon.

this i think was very deliberate and almost a melding of the concepts for deucalion as we know him.

i think, duecalion was once a man turned into a werewolf but this gift was perverted by gerard. duecalion was turned into a monster by gerard argent who is a man who believes himself to be a god as punishment for seeking peace.

his admiration for talia hale, the way he discovers how to accumulate power making himself into both angel and devil (the demon wolf) and how he is a collector of oddities strikes me as something of a fascination with werewolves that a person born a wolf wouldn't have. he has a thirst for knowledge which expands into using that knowledge to elevate his power until he's humbled and reminded of his humanity. predator not killer. man not monster.
