I absolutely loved Vicente in this chapter.

I was so emotional seeing how they crumbled during both their interactions with Calliope, it's just so obvious how much they blame themselves for what happened to her.

And then the bath scene, oooof, it was both very delicious and very heartbreaking at the same time! It feels just perfect for his character (I'm eating the slow burnn and pain thank you Fir)

It's just ... the day Vicente finally feels safe enough around the MC to be completely vulnerable, after everything he went through since he was 12, I will sob. My poor baby

On a lighter note, the little comment hinting towards them being my MC's duette made me giggle. I do wonder, would Tellus and Aestus also begin to realise this if they listened to both their songs? 👀

I’m glad you appreciate Vicente in the other scenes, too! I really wanted to explore his and Calliope’s dynamic, which will continue to evolve in future chapters. The narrative does nudge toward forgiveness among all characters, and that’s just a personal bias of the author. But I still want it to take the time and care it needs.

The duette realization is something that can only happen between the pair themselves. Tellus and Aestus may notice how closely in sync MC is with their duette, but they can’t “hear” it.
