Angel hadn't thought the animal had deserved to die--he hadn't ever done anything wrong--so she had taken the shot that was meant for Dukino. The bullet would have gone straight into Dukino's head, but instead it had burrowed into the siren's abdomen. It was lodged somewhere in her ribs, that much she could tell, but there was too much blood and pain for her to do anything about it. "T-Thanks Dukino," she said when he returned with medical supplies, trying to sound as upbeat as she could. Something told Angel she might not be getting out of this.

But, an ally was an ally. Zer0 crouched down, took some meat jerky out--god only knew what species it had originally been--and offered it to Dukino.
