Remember to use that tapey stuff before you screw the new shower head on to minimize leaking risk. (I had to replace both the shower heads in my new place when I moved this summer, it's a very common thing to have to do, "borrowed" the tape stuff from my dad which is why I don't remember what it's called)
Oh yes! I’ve never used it before but I managed to remember to buy some this time, I’m excited to try it out!

damn it, sam. I *have* a fridge going for free, but it's in seattle.
Aw, thanks for thinking of me :D I’m sure I’ll find a good cheap one around here. And at least whatever I get won’t have mold!

I was bemoaning this issue of knowing people only on the internet when it comes to this kind of thing yesterday. I showed F the murder ladder, and got "ffs, lend him one of ours!" I had to point out that no, I have to miss out on this fun because a: half a continent and an other country away, and b: police would be called. She actually deflated a little and whined that "well that's no fun."
LOL! I would borrow your ladder if I could! :D

can't you just close it off and forget about it? that terrible gap in the corner there just makes me want to knock the whole thing down and rebuild it.
Fortunately it’s not in the condo itself -- each floor has a communal “storage room” and each storage room has a space like that with your number on the door where you can stash stuff.

This seems like the actual perfect use of one of those dumb tap light things. Think how not scary it will be once u put a dorky tap light in there
Oh lol! I’ll have to pick one up. You’re not wrong, a dorky tap light would go a long way towards keeping the demons out.

Yes, for the love of god. But seriously... Is that for like... Canned goods? I can't think of what else would fit.
It’s actually not quite as narrow as it looks -- it’s about the depth of a coat closet -- and it does have a lot of height, it goes to the 10ft ceiling. I’m thinking I might have the movers load it up with boxes and just get one at a time and unpack them. It’s only about twenty feet down the hall from my place.

What the heck Sam? Also, will they let you wallpaper it? I feel like some tropical wallpaper would help with the creepy factor.
Oh man I don’t know why but the mental image I got of that unit with tropical wallpaper on the walls made me laugh really loudly when I was taking a paint break. :D

What is the black thing on the right?
That is an ultralight collapsible camp chair -- I got it at an REI Garage Sale for like $15 and it’s the second best thing I’ve bought this year (the condo is the best :D). It weighs less than three pounds, packs down to the size of a two-liter soda bottle, and is remarkably comfy given it also feels like it’s made of dental floss and PVC pipe.

Go Sam! I hope you enjoy your well deserved Creme Egg (if it tastes different to how you remember them it's because they've changed the recipe from normal Cadbury's chocolate to American-style chocolate, but I don't know whether the ones they sell in the US ever used the normal Cadbury's stuff anyway (or why they wanted to change it)).
I honestly rarely notice the chocolate, it’s the weird cream-egg texture I mostly love. I know, I am a freak :D
