🚭 Spain Plans to Expand Smoke-Free Public Areas

Spain is moving forward with new legislation that would significantly extend the number of public places where smoking and vaping are prohibited. The proposal has already been approved and is now awaiting its final approval by the Senate before coming into force.

If implemented, smoking and vaping would no longer be allowed in many popular outdoor spaces, including:

The aim of the new measures is to improve public health, reduce second-hand smoke exposure and create cleaner shared spaces for residents and visitors alike.
