our goal at la ciudad is to have a fun place where spanish speakers of all levels can converse. talking to a native speaker for the first time can be intimidating, but we want our members to feel comfortable making mistakes because doing so is how you learn and improve.

la ciudad chat is located on discord, so you will need an account to join. we will accept members as they apply, and though there is a brief form we ask that you fill out, it only exists to keep trolls from joining and the server is open to everyone. there are no other requirements to join, all you have to do is participate in the chat.

Y is phantom thread bad(idk if i want to watch it)

this is a very very very unpopular opinion on my part, but for me it was literally nothing new. its just another run of the mill tortured artist treats the women around him like shit at the bottom of his shoe. its not genre breaking, the score annoyed me reminding me strangely of elevator music and overall, the writing was bad. i just felt like i’d seen the same movie 10 other times.

but also vicky krieps deserved an oscar for her role, shes literally the only reason i finished the movie.
