thinkin abt dune being like an ex-adventurer and getting close to rufus through that and they've both settled down over the decades in their home and in fights he would probably use a warhammer and this is based wholly on vibes and

sometimes someone stays the night at dune's place and they're about to fall asleep on the couch and they're struck with horror as rufus seemingly melts and theyre like how do i tell dune that his favorite being has just melted and when they do tell him whilst freaking out hes like oh yeah no worries he does that sometimes :) just dont step in him or you'll get bit :)

dune and rufus are both big and muscular and intimidating and have a resting glare but also both of them are very big cuddlers and dune talks during movies and he tells old man stories and rufus has the mentality of a big dog that hasnt realized theyre not a lap dog and you have to watch out for his spikes a little but he's very warm and soft and rufus uses the swing outside more than dune does and
