Okay, so I think I've reached where I want to stop the demo for now in terms of writing. Next is to do the coding stuff and all that so I actually have a working demo instead of just writing...
so I still have a few things to try and iron out for the demo but considering its almost midnight and I have a bruise a little under my knee that's about the same size as my hand, think I'm gonna head to bed and try to figure things out tomorrow.
To give a better idea of where I'm at with the demo, I keep getting an error about a confirm button that doesn't actually exist....or at least shouldn't exist, the stats page will not appear at all for some reason, and I'm trying to figure out variables to make sure they're actually a part of it
I suppose I should mention I've taken the full week off because honestly I refuse to work my birthday and the break is my little gift to myself. I plan on working on the demo during the week but I don't know if I'll get it finished this week.
Right now I'm just trying to make sure all the writing gets in. Then I'll worry about the different effects of the choices and whatnot
I just realized I need to give a MASSIVE content warning with this game. I'll edit the pinned post when I get home but wanted to post this real quick while I had a moment.
There is child death in thus IF. Addy and Aidan are both children and, as Players, they have died to become such. With the fate the guild went through, they died a second time as well. And considering a big part of the story is to do with figuring out what caused the guild's annihilation, it's not really something that's likely to be glossed over. So yeah, huge content warning and I apologize I did not mention that earlier. I really have no excuse.
....I think the demo's getting a little....long. and I haven't even gotten to where I want to stop it before releasing. Think I may need to rethink where I end it or cut some parts out
Okay so I was planning to work on coding during my lunch hut a) I forgot to bring my computer and b)the damn thing has been taking twenty minutes just to start up when I have had it with me
So instead I guess I'll just ask if anyone has any questions about anything for Dungeon Egg?
well, today was interesting. Plenty of awkward moments that made me wonder if I should've called out today....but overall glad I went back.
Probably won't get a chance to work on the demo again until Thursday afternoon or the weekend. Still don't know what's going on with some of the craziness there
