Sparked from the dark surface of the digital canvas, artist Daniel Kamarudin (Durrian) paints portraits of mythological creatures torn from the pages of fantasy works, video games and science fiction. Intricately detailed, Kamarudin adds a luminosity that gives an immediacy to the characters and their plight. Having been imbued with such a strong presence, these works ache to be embellished into film and other medium.
