The sun shines down, warm and comforting, you feel no wind but can see the flowers around you swaying to some unheard dance. You feel welcome, loved, the colors around you are so familiar. All at once it's gone. There's a bright flash of color and a scream, and it takes you a moment to realise your vision is blocked by a spray of blood, disrupting the calm and taking with it that warmth, that comfort. A deep, threatening voice growls in the distance, "Who the hell do you think you are?"
Beetlejuice groans as the vision fades, leaving a nauseating migraine, flashing pain behind her Brand and behind her eyes.
That voice… it had sounded familiar. Like the way a stranger may seem familiar in a dream, only for you to wake up and realize that you’ve never seen that face before…
Had she dreamt of him before? Beetlejuice wasn’t sure. But the man’s tone had left a deep pit forming at the base of her stomach…
She reaches for her phone, through bleary eyes, and texts the “Girls Night” group to see if they had all made it home okay.
Something seemed off.
And BJ couldn’t quite put her finger on what.
