This nautical room was designed by Jeannette Renauley for a young boy in Alabama. Sails were cut from plywood, then padded and covered in striped cotton. Welting was added to the dust ruffles to reinforce their shape. Angled valances resemble awnings and the striped welting cord suggests molding.
