The 500th post has to be something very special. So from my favourite city, Amsterdam, comes one of the most memorable food experiences, through some food which is local, fresh, interesting, and something you might just think twice before tasting! Here's freshly shucked Oysters vs the famous Dutch raw Herring! The herrings are prepared fresh, served with pickles and onions, while the oysters come with a wedge of lime. Having never tried either, they both took a fair bit of courage to gulp down.. but I think I preferred the oysters over the herrings! 😝🙈 . .
