No one else I know understands the grief and sorrow I feel with Netflix ending their DVD shipments. I've been a member since 2001. That's 22+ years of discovering, appreciating, and loving movies.
They sent me the below last May:
My last two Netflix DVDs are in the mail to me now:
I get to keep them both, I don't have to return them. My goodbye gift from Netflix.
Yesterday I had to run some errands at Target. While at Target I always like to browse their DVD collection and see if there are any good bargains.
But both their DVD and CD collections are gone.
It is the end of an era. We are now at the mercy of streaming services.
This isn't going to end well. We should be able to keep physical copies of the music and movies we own.
