Count Bass D - Aural S (Ect) S | Dwight Spitz
I had not listened to Count Bass-D after awesome Dwight Spitz (14 years ago! Damn I am getting old), but after encountering this video I noticed that he has been productive through the years. Have to give some listen to later production as well.
Count Bass D | Instantly New | Featured Album
Count Bass D has been around creating every man music for as long as I can remember. Shit, my first time actually hearing the man’s voice was on an album from Christian Hip-Hop group Grits back in the later half of the 90′s. With critical and cult favorites under his belt (as Dwight Spitz, and Act Your Waist Size) and songs with the legendary metal faced villain, Count Bass D hits us with his latest Instantly New album. I gave it a first listen through this morning sipping coffee and editing articles, and I have to say I plan on ordering the Cassette (It comes with a 2nd tape of JUST the beats!) soon as I can. Give it a spin, and support honest, clever, and fully independent hip-hop.
Instantly New by Count Bass D
One of my all time favorite hip hop hop albums, signed by the Count himself. Needless to say i’m pretty psyched about owning this.
Just in case y’all didn’t know, Dwight Spitz by Count Bass D recently got it’s first reissue since it’s initial release in 2002. You can purchase the album on vinyl for $20 here from Thrashflow, and for $10 more you can get it autographed by Count Bass D which was a no brainer for me. The Lowest NM on discogs for an original pressing is $75 at the moment so here’s a good opportunity to cop one of the greatest underground hip hop albums ever on vinyl for a reasonable price.
