So I was walking through Wal-Mart (with my mask) and I was wearing the Winchester brothers muscle tank top with the Impala from hot topic and as I was walking this employee said "I love your shirt" and I said "AW THANK YOU!!" I got super excited and happy afterwards cause that was the first time that has ever happened to me!! Have you ever had those interactions happen to you where stangers and fandoms collide??
Once, I was wearing a Tardis Key necklace and a dude the East Meets West store we were in was like “OMG DW” and we chatted about episodes for a half hour.
My favorite hoodie is a soft as a cloud navy blue sweatshirt that says “University of Gallifrey” around the Seal of Rassilon. This a Doctor Who thing. An OLD DW thing. (as in not Nu-Who)... I wore it to death. No one ever noticed. One day, I’m walking home from work and this guy is walking towards me and he goes “That’s awesome.” and i said “FORTHELOVEOFSTEPHENMOFFAT NO ONE HAS EVER NOTICED BEFORE!” and we stood on the street corner and talked Who for about 10 mins.
2018- Wore my SPNFamily LOVE hoodie to an open school night. A woman I’d never met before comes walking towards me in the SPNFamily LOVE Shirt! We sat together at the meeting, we had nothing else in common. She was boring.
Halloween 2019... we just moved up to this new town, we don’t know anyone. Trick or Treating isn’t done house to house up here bc it’s like 9 miles between houses, so they do it on main street and the whole town comes out. I again, wore my LOVE hoodie. I’m following my son to the next stop and this giant dude in a full steampunk costume points at me and goes “How do you feel about the show ending?” And we spent 40 mins taking our children trick or treating around the street while talking about SPN. I never got his name, but I see him around town and nod. He has a giant “IDJIT” and angel wings on the back of his pickup truck and I have the Anti-possession on my truck.
In a store in PA once, I saw a woman wearing an anti-possession t and i went “I LOVE IT!” pointing at her boobs, also not realizing that I was NOT wearing anything SPN related. she got worried and walked away, clinging to her husband. Her loss.
Check out girl at the supermarket loved my Doctor Who Tardis mask that I made and we chatted about that and then I showed her my tattoo and she freaked out when I said Jensen Ackles wrote it for me.
