idk man! it was rough. it didn't help that the last leg of my flight was delayed an hour because the cockpit door wouldn't lock and we had to taxi back to our terminal. i was going to flip shit if we didn't take off.

As the scent traveled through her nostrils and registered in her slow mind, she couldn’t help butremember something. Not about last night — about the smell. It was familiar for some reason. It wasn’t because of a regular, that was certain —

It was going to happen someday, eventually, Destiny and he would end up in bed together and either one, or both of them, would regret their decisions  This time is seems it's Destiny who wants the ground to swallow her whole, Roman, on the other hand, isn't too bothered by the night's events. He's fucked plenty of girls and plenty of boys, sometimes together, sometimes separately  and Destiny is no different, except for the fact that she seemed to be so against it over the time they'd known each other. He supposes that makes it feel like more of a successful conquest than an easy fuck.       He's got his underwear back on and he's already out of the bed, in her kitchen, making coffee (only it took him a little while because she doesn't have the same coffee machine that he does). So he comes back in, his cup in his hand and sees she's awake.

   She drew in a breath, still mulling over what she had just seen in her mind’s eye. She hadn’t seen New York; or maybe she had, but it wasn’t as if a split-second flash would give her any crystal-clear idea as to what location she was seeing. Whatever: New York was right above Pennsylvania on the map, which meant he hadn’t traveled far to get here. Or maybe he had, if he lived in the northern part of the state. However, she doubted that — he was so young, he couldn’t have made it all the way here from northern New York on his own.

   But it wasn’t so much New York that caught Destiny’s attention: it was that he mentioned others. Other mutants. She cringed at the word, but didn’t offer any other physical response.

He's used to flying; if he wants to, he can fly far faster than any car can go, which is why Cherri often sends him off on quests to find her missing (or rare) parts. One time, he'd ended up in Ireland by accident - he's still friends with Autumn, and she often teleports in to visit and help him cause trouble at the mansion. He doesn't recognize 'mutant' as a bad word; he's not unaware of the history of it, but at the mansion, they're mutant and proud - they've started reclaiming the word for themselves. He's unaware that he's not really a mutant; he doesn't possess the x-gene, but no one's ever tested him for it so no one's ever figured it out. "Kind of! It's Xavier's Institute of Higher Learning."

A thing he'd hate if Destiny would leave

His life would just feel so terribly empty. It would be much like missing an arm — it's possible to go on, but it's hard and not really a thing he would want, or even considers. She is part of his life, of him, and life without her is not a thing he imagines, not even in his worst nightmares. Without D, he'd be lost, and not just because he wouldn't be able to ask for advice or help. Like ripping his heart out, and leaving him with a poor replacement.

Who's left to blame him for things if not her. Who's left to yell at him. Really.

A thing he'd miss if Destiny would leave

A lot of things. He would just forget at times for a brief moment, thinking of something to talk to her to, telling her, and then he suddenly remembers she's not there, and that he can't come to her whenever he wants, or needs to, and that would break his heart a little more each time.
