Spanish Paradores & Portuguese Pousadas, and France on our own.
On August 31, 2023 we will leave again for another adventure - this time in Portugal, Spain and France. While we will see many wonderful sites, have many new experiences, and eat fabulous food, we will also be staying in Portuguese pousadas and Spanish paradores, restored historic inns—from castles and convents to manor homes and monasteries. How cool does that sound!?!?!
We will arrive in Lisboa (Lisbon) Portugal on September 1 and have two full days on our own to explore and adjust to our new time zone before we meet up with our group. Our "group" consists of 14 our friends, most of whom we have met traveling. And while everyone doesn't know everyone YET, Mark and I know them all!

Our tour will end on Sept 22 and we will head to France with the Steckers for a week in Brittany, France - and it doesn't look to shabby to me!
A little time in Paris and then home on Oct. 1 - my Mom's 97th birthday!
The one disappointment of this trip is that our friends and neighbors, John & Penny, had to cancel at the last minute due to John's nasty motorcycle accident. John sustained numerous serious injuries and while we are headed out, he remains hospitalized - although making progress. I will be trying to record much of what we are doing so that they can make this trip vicariously - although I hope they will be able to do it at a later date. They will be missed.
