Consider: Dyecember being an event where you make a custom dyed skein of yarn/amount of fiber for somebody else as a gift! Or multiple people if you wanna be an overachiever. There's several gift giving holidays from different cultures in December. I personally exchange simple gifts with my girlfriend, siblings, and mother on the winter solstice. And if you're not from a culture that exchanges gifts in December, you can join in for the fun of it or dye your yarn/fiber with us and then choose to wait to give your gift at a more traditional time.
Maybe have optional pick your recipient and ask them to give you a handful of prompts, whether that's photos/visual art, color palettes, a word, or a vibe can be up to them, for you to choose from to base a colorway off of. Or I can also come up with a list of prompts!
