I did my favorite thing today, I visited a #wetland specifically the #cherokeemarsh conservation area. Luckily I saw many things, but these three photos were my favorite, my favorite #redwingblackbird a beautiful blue #treeswallow and the #sandhillcrane my first time seeing them in the wild. As much as I've spent much time in wetlands, it was never in their native region, so I've only seen them in zoos. Ben was, as always, the most wonderful hiking companion, listening to me go into naturalist mode lecturing about the various sights and functions of the marsh.
