The Kills, "Kissy Kissy"
(Picture in standard resolution and full resolution) [text only version] [audio version by dyingfiction, one of the writers here] Based on a dyingfiction’s idea of what they call “surgery”. Only, instead of doing it with only one writer’s stuff, I wanted to try to do it with two writers’. I asked for their permission and they both agreed to let me do it. I’m grateful for that! These two genuinely wonderful writers are : - writingsforwinter
- dyingfiction
I think their works share some similarities (I’m unable to explain though) but they have completely different styles! Even though I did add some words here and there, it’s basically both of their works. I quite literally did surgery. Let me explain: I first printed some of their last pieces and highlighted the phrases or bits of phrases who had the most impact on me. I then cut them with a scalpel. (yes, a scalpel, which is much more useful/handy than any box cutter/Stanley knife or even paper knife, at least for me…) I typed them on photoshop, selected what I wanted to “smash” in the process and put them side by side on a blank picture or whatever it’s called. From that, I just ‘wove’ their words (as writingsforwinter called it ; I like this term, ‘weave’) and made that thing. Honestly, I had no idea what I was doing and how it was going to turn out and I was even surprised by the final result! Anyway, it’s my first time doing that kind of things and I really enjoyed doing it!
dyingfiction replied to your post: I want some really cute, sexy undies/lingerie....
i was just thinking last weekish that i need some sexy underpanties and lingerieishness. if you find a place online, especially someplace where big girl shit isnt just like…overpriced 1x bullshit that tears if you breathe on it, lemme know.
I've heard things about Hips & Curves from tumblr. Idk about the actual quality of things because I've only purchased lingerie once and couldn't breathe in it so
for @dyingfiction with love
dyingfiction replied to your post: Kinda sad I never got a response from SNAP Like,... i wish things were not so fucking difficult. i wish i could hug you. i wish i could wiggle my nose and make everything all better. can we ts&p at least? let’s ts&p forever.
I wish I was a little bit taller I wish I was a baller Etc, etc. There is a bright side, and it is blindingly so I just...can't look in that direction too often because being a carefree Black girl involves actually being carefree. Y'know what I mean? Totally down for some endless TS&P tho. And hugs. Also your post about the avocado ritual made my stomach roar. The Avocado Ritual. Sounds like a book/album/movie title. Hmm
dyingfiction said: i’m about to start a juice fast to try and get my health shit under control and i know i’m in for some serious shit. if you want a weeping buddy, please let me know. we can weep and make art while not eating sugar. it’ll be fly as fuck.

oh my god, i didnt realize how much i use sugar to deal with mood swings, sadness, grief, etc. like im not even going all out, to fast, i just cut out most sugars, and boom! this shit is hardcore.
i feel so raw and emptied. and the bullshit, hypocrisy, grossness, i usually put up with in my fellow human beings, is just intolerable right now. i dont even feel self-righteous, its like im just allergic to bullshit.
once i get through this detoxing, im giving up wheat...god help me. i love pizza. love it.
we can so cry together and make art. i have now managed after a couple of days of weepiness to contract a low grade cold.
just breathing: a collaboration between dyingfiction and topographe
I decided to try something new, and scramble one of dyingfiction's poems straight, meaning taking one short poem and rearranging it without adding or subtracting. Her original is on the top and my remix is on the bottom. I ended up adding one "an"... nobody's perfect. I thought this "artistic plagiarism" (don't worry I have permission) type project might be interesting in the way it highlights the subtle differences in our writing styles. The poems are very similar, but also they aren't.
