Why hello everyone! Good news, The Raspberry Jam show is back on the road this weekend! We've had some serious R n R and we are all ready to go. Are you coming? This weekend is a very special weekend for The Raspberry Jam, as this weekend sees the return of The Dying Giraffe! He's no longer dead, only hanging on for dear life! At this point we owe all our raspberry jam friends a huge thank you. Without you sharing our page and following us, we would have never reached 750 likes. A huge thank you to Kieron Lang for initiating the Facebook campaign & helping us to achieve a pretty impressive goal. As always you have all surpassed our expectations & we currently have 780 likes, hence the return of The Dying Giraffe! Mr Lloyd Williams are you ready for the return of The Dying Giraffe? We will be posting times of where we are this coming weekend tomorrow night (Thurs 24 Oct), so keep your eyes peeled for the post & we are extremely excited to see you all this weekend! But before we go, we just want to say a massive thanks to everyone who supports us & to all venues for booking us! We wouldn't be doing what we are, without it! So before we hit the road this weekend, why not check out some of our highlights on our youtube channel (www.youtube.com/theraspberryjamband) & then come this weekend to experience The Raspberry Jam show Live!! Dave P.S. I have a new stool this weekend!! Thanks for asking!
Has Lloyd been defeated? It seems that The Raspberry Jam friends (I say friends rather than fans, because that sounds so pretentious), have taken it upon themselves to see how far they can push Lloyd in Old MacDonald had a Farm. I, Dave, thought that Old MacDonald would lose it's entertainment value after 5 or 6 gigs, but it is still very much apart of The Raspberry Jam show!! I never thought I'd say it as Lloyd has done exceptionally well so far, but when presented with the challenge to mimic Chewbacca The Wookie from Star Wars, my good friend & trusted band mate failed & couldn't perform! Thanks to our Raspberry Jam friends we have the moment captured on video. It makes brilliant viewing. So you know what to do at the next Raspberry Jam Show, think of an animal that peaks my interest (Dave), so we can put Lloyd to the test & savour what he delivers! Something tells me that Old MacDonald is here to stay for a very long time. Don't forget the campaign to bring the giraffe back from the dead is still very much ongoing. When The Raspberry Jam get to 750 likes on facebook, we will re-incarnate the giraffe! Thanks for reading by the way, I hope the blogs are as enjoyable to read as they are to write. See you soon Dave P.S. I think Marcus has the best viewing seat in the house for Old MacDonald!
Who'd have thought that a Dying Giraffe in The Raspberry Jam show, would have created such a stir when it died. It seems that the poor Giraffe touched the hearts & emotions of fans, who are willing to try all futuristic forms of medication and develop new scientific methods to bring the Giraffe back from the dead! The Raspberry Jam (with a little help from Kieran Lang) have come up with a way of bringing him back from Davey Crockets locker. The Dying Giraffe first made it's appearance at The Four Winds, Aberavon, Beachfest in August 2013. The next Beachfest at The Four Winds is at the end of October 2013, so if you get our facebook page likes to 750 by Beachfest, we will bring the Giraffe back to the land of the living!! So get sharing, re-tweeting & lets work together to give a very special Giraffe his life back!! Marcus, Dave & Lloyd www.facebook.com/theraspberryjam
Better Late Than Never
So, The Raspberry Jam are a little late in coming to the world of blogging, but they do say 'Better late than never'!. Who are they by the way? any ideas? Anyway, the reason for starting to blog is to keep everyone who is interested in The Raspberry Jam a little closer to the action. We have only been a band for 6 months, but we are so grateful and appreciative to everyone who comes to our gigs on weekends and dances and sings with us. Faces which started out as unrecognisable have now become friends. So our aim is to tell you all about our rehearsals (when we have them), possibly tease you with song ideas, ask you to recommend song ideas to us, help us all discover new music, let you know how much we enjoyed a gig & more importantly let you know, what new animal Lloyd has added to his Old MacDonald repertoire!! By the way the dying giraffe is now dead! We are not in the re-incarnating business! Anything we can share with you guys about The Raspberry Jam, we will try and get on here. So, I'm going to leave it there for now, but we are gigging a lot this weekend, so there's bound to be plenty of stories to keep you all updated with. Speak soon Dave
