Algorithmic film criticism? Why not? But it would be worth comparing with academic film criticism and also film festivals, as opposed to just popular U.S. films & critics. Indeed, this "study" seems a perfect example of how algorithms can be extremely biased, but hide it under the cover of scientificity.
