So, um, yeah, I will be in Chicago starting early Thursday morning. I will be speaking at Chicago State University at noon that day. That evening is fairly booked. Friday and Saturday are not thoroughly booked, although I will be at the Trans Hack, and then Sunday I am busy for obvious reasons. I leave Monday afternoon/evening. So, if you are in or around Chicagoland and would like to meet up, this is the time!

Granted the movie release is roughly 198 days away, but I was thinking of rallying the fandom for a tmr movie gathering. If you're in, let me know :) it'd be awesome if this could happen, so "tell your friends" as they say! Additional detail: San Fernando valley, CA gathering unless the idea grows.

This sounds shuckin' cool but because I live on the other side of the United States in NY, a gathering in CA is a no-go for me. Signal boost to all my CA followers though.

I live in New York so it doesn’t have any relevance to me. Unless there are people around me who would be interested in a gathering.

For anyone who's confused.

Forced sterilisation:Toni seems to have interpreted Brennan and Hungerford's letter to the UN as saying that they recommended that only trans women who had undergone "bottom surgery" be allowed access to sex-segregated spaces for women. Such surgery involves removing the penis, and hence sterilisation. Toni believes that preventing people with penises from accessing women's bathrooms is "forcing" them to undergo sterilisation.

Moral genocide of trans people: If gender is abolished, then by extension transgender ideology will no longer exist. Therefore, people who might have been transgender under a genderist regime will not be transgender, because that will no longer be a meaningful category. In a sense, it would be accurate to say that, "transgender people will not exist." Toni calls this "genocide". It's kind of like how eliminating smallpox is a "genocide" against people with smallpox.

erratum: the original version of this post attributed the view that only trans women who have undergone sex reassignment surgery ought to be allowed into sex-segregated women's spaces to Brennan and Hungerford themselves. see here for details and Brennan's actual views on "gender identity".

Re: "why peak trans is so wrong" -At least one reblogger doesn't understand that Toni D'Orsay has changed key words in some of those posts to make a frankly astonishingly ill-judged and abysmally clumsy attempt at comparing transcritical views to racism. They have noted the racism as if it were present in the original posts unchecked at the peak trans blog (which I know is not the case).

You know, I'm not even surprised.
