One of these mornings I’m going to wake up and not immediately retch into the toilet.

having my first dystonic episode in like a year trying to drive home, i got out of work early (NEVER happens) and i picked up food on the way home (also never happens)
all i can say is i am thankful my mom was still awake when i got home, i now have proper video footage of said episode.
load of firsts this evening lmfao
Dystonia fucking sucks dude.
In OT we're mostly working on my sensory problems. Mostly light touch. It makes it harder for me to shower and cook and take care of my skin.
But my OT was interested in my dystonia because it's activated by using a touch screen (and buttons in general). Might post a video of what that looks like but it makes me take a lot longer to hit buttons and often I will hit the wrong one, or the one next to or above my target.
(for the record this is (one of the reasons) why I use symbol AAC even though I'm a very fast typist. One hit for one word has much less room for error than four or seven hits for one word.)
We tried putting a weight on my wrist which was really helpful. Then! We tried putting a weight on my wrist while using a weighted stylus and wow! I was slower but I was much more accurate with much less effort.
I want to try with my key guard too next time.
