Gone is the irritable scold from moments earlier, replaced by the true version of their slightly older peer. Alex glances over his shoulder as they head to the nearest floo station. āWe have to get the Goblet and its case from the trophy room to bring down here before breakfast. Kind of requires more than one person.ā
Suddenly, the two students are vibrating with excitement as they take their successive turns at the floo station.
āOh dear, do watch your nose!ā the bust of Ignatia Wildsmith warns Emma with a wince ā the enchanted image of the creator of floo powder never failing to give her two-cents on any manner of issue. Sheās been getting at Emma for ages to do something about her allergies.
They ignore her, quickly flooing up to the trophy room located at the very top of the Great Tower. Although room always feels insufficient to Jack, seeing how itās an entire floor thatās now dedicated to showcasing the historic relics of Hogwartsā extensive sporting past.
Re anons asks over the last few days. I love rpf but Iāve grappled with my enjoyment of it for a while now. I know this is obviously controversial to state but in my opinion I do believe Carlos is gay in real life. I just think thereās some strong evidence to support it and the gerebito of it all that was discussed may in fact be very real. So sincaraz is a strange muddle in my head. I feel conflicted shipping a potentially gay man with a very straight man. The ramifications of some of this being true in real life kinda unsettles me. I love rpf but sometimes I really do need to touch grass and dip out of the shipping world and just enjoy the tennis
Itās interesting bc every person has their own ability (or inability) to separate fandom from reality. My way of doing so is perhaps unique. Perhaps not.
I recently became obsessed with tennis and I see the players as sort of the cast of the show that I love. Much like the cast of actual TV shows, they have real lives and identities that exist separately from their on-court and on-screen personas.
Because I support and respect them as people - I try to never include real life WAGs as characters in my stories. That said - I donāt think there are any ramifications to shipping a straight man with a possibly gay man.
Shipping is simply a fun creative process that allows people to share ideas they already have in their head. My dance troupe in HS secretly shipped our instructor with the young band director and joked amongst ourselves they were in love š (we knew they werenāt but they did flirt a lot - one straight and one gay)
I strongly encourage you not to torture yourself over it ā¤ļø this is a safe place to not feel guilt. Those things aside touching grass is pretty nice too š³

It's worth noticing that the ship didn't originate from GermƔn's professional repporting of Carlos but from the fact that they also used to spend their free time together, interact more on socials etc.
Just to make it clear I think the ship is just a ship and not reality, at least not that we know of, but if they'll go back to their 2024-2025 level of interaction I'm going to have lots of fun lol
