"you're looking at me like you don't believe me and i've barely spoken, manon." all she had said was she was doing alright with the adjustment, and that wasn't necessarily a lie. everything was simply fine. it could be infinitely better, but she did not want to set the witch on a warpath because she was upset. "the city is just so different from what i'm used to, i'm a little drained, that's all." not inherently a lie, but not the whole truth either, which was better than nothing, right?
