You woke up without emotions again. You automatically figured that it was Tenebria, since she could manipulate your emotions. You expected yourself to be boiling with anger- after all, you had seen the worst man of your life knock you out- a terrible disgrace.
“(Y/N), I want you to dispel the barrier created by Kromcruz,” you heard the king of the underworld say to you. You had been called to the room which housed a grand chair, just for him. It was befitting for a cruel dictator like him, you always thought. You nodded, which surprised especially yourself. You swore to yourself you’d never bow down to him, and you were just doing so right now. This was actually your low point, and you hated to admit it. You convinced yourself that this was just a new approach, getting close to the enemy and defeating them from within. However, they were controlling you, which made the entire plan worthless.
Perhaps you could turn it around. Perhaps you could break free from Tenebria’s spell once again, and get rid of her once and for all. You didn’t know the specifics, but you were confident you could get out of a situation like this, as long as her powers didn’t mess with your mind as strongly as earlier. You’d protect Ludwig and keep the barrier up, as to not give Kayron more power. You’d then hide the barrier and Ludwig from him, to make sure he doesn’t suspect anything. It doesn’t have to last long- it only needed to last as long as you needed to kill him, and you were confident that it would last long enough.
“(Y/N), I thought-”
“No, Ras. I’m not working together with you. Our goals just seem to align this time.”
You made it hard and clear that you were cooperating only because it benefitted you as well. Ras showed visible confusion, however you decided not to clear things up. It would sound like a cry for help, in the miserable state you were in. You didn’t want to admit it either. The reckless heir would definitely try to help you, no matter what he was doing. He’d end up hurting himself and others, which would result in a negative.
“(Y/N), you haven’t dispelled the barrier or captured Ludwig yet,” you heard the voice you’d been dreading to hear.
“If you won’t do it… then I will.”
