I don't know what happened to me but suddendly october is finishing and this week started and AGHHH but I'll do my best bc I love u guys who live in tumblr
Sketching over the og poses makes you realize how fucking big their heads truly are, also changed the bg to the colors of the highschool in my AU! I love porpol, but compared to the og my color palette is so sad omfg
I'm not quite sure if this qualifies as a crossover, but pretend it does because i had to draw 5 full bodies for this please guys.
Anyways I classpected them!! What the hell does this mean for my non homestuckers? Classpecting is assigning a god tier (homestuck power system thing) to a character, based on their personality, character arc, and powers. And they get a silly little outfit from it!! which is this!!!
I do admit I'm not super skilled at it, because it is a huuuge very flexible topic but I do have some reasonings:
Owynn: Thief of mind (wow that fit sucks change shoes now)
A Thief is a class that steals their Aspect for their own advantage. For example, a Thief of Mind would be someone who rarely lets their guard down or reveals anything personal to anyone. They can be supremely confident in themselves and their judgment, yet they often conceal parts of themselves they dislike, feelings they consider “weak” or unacceptable. To hide these vulnerabilities, they become cunning to the point of ruthlessness or rudeness, sometimes reproaching their friends for their choices, thoughts, or past and future actions.
Thieves of Mind hide their weaknesses and they actively manipulate others, subtly stealing their logical reasoning or secrets and guiding them to act in ways that serve the thief’s ultimate plan. Often making others believe it was their own idea all along.
I feel like this fits Owynn super well, he's a manipulative little bastard who orchestrated situations like the one with Toddy and Meg, pushing them into conflict while making it feel like their own choices who caused the fight. He is a liar and an instigator and very double faced, so off he goes!
Leon: Prince of void (ignore the fucked up part of her shoe, its covered in the final piece anyways)
A Prince is a class that destroys. A Prince of Void destroys secrets and the unknown, but often acts opposite to the traditional tendencies of their Aspect (the aspect being void). Void represents mystery, ignorance, and things hidden from view, so a Prince of Void might ironically crave attention, loving to have everything about them known. They hate keeping secrets, and if they go without attention for too long, they could wither away like an unwatered plant.
The aspect of void in general is one related to mystery, ignorance and uncertainty. And in the comic void players tend to be less focused on by the narrative, so the audience doesn't see them that often and rarely gets their own point of view on stuff. Leon being void is a cute little reference on my part to how he is a scrapped character who does not really exist within the actual narrative, and the destroyer aspect of it is about how he actively destroys being someone who blends in by calling the most possible attention to him.
Also that big yo-yo is his weapon, because he knows how to do a lot of dumb tricks on the yo-yo and he wanted his weapon to be something stupid looking so it'd be interesting, yeah hes like that.
Tony: Mage of void
A Mage of Void is one who understands the nature of secrets, absence, and hidden truths. They grasp what is unknown, overlooked, or deliberately ignored, and can articulate it or use that knowledge to guide others.
This does not sound too much like Tony, but within the narrative we have seen that he does have a deeper understanding about the evil plan(tm) than he lets on, and that he has his own plan on dealing with it, he simply keeps it completely secret and only ever mentions it when he's completely alone.
Also with the same logic i used with Leon, I like how the narrative never gives us moments of him from his own point of view and when he's without his oblivious facade; the closest we got was after his fight with Eak, when he just announced to the air that he's not as naive as he lets on and then we never get any further explanation. I think abt that moment a lot so I just wanted to shoehorn the void aspect into him somehow, lol sorry :9
His weapon is a net mostly just because, shrug emoji, it fits with him being a pacifist to try and capture enemies instead of straight up killing them.
Cami: rogue of heart (she has a cute little face mask you cant see due to her bangs)
The Rogue of Heart is one who steals peoples emotions and their soul itself in order to give them to others. They take the emotions felt by people in order for others to feel them. Letting people experience the same joy or pain that the people they know feel. I don't care too much about these powers, surely I could make an argument about shadows being emotions and parts of the self and all but with this classpect I mostly focused solely in the narrative sense of it
Rogues have problems coping with their Aspect or their supposed lack of it. They think they can’t actually handle it, causing them to give it up too easily. Their challenge is to come to terms with their Aspect and own it. Heart is the aspect of identity and the self, so a Rogue of Heart is someone who will struggle with their true personality and their likes or dislikes, repressing everything about themselves that they deem “weird” or “unlikable” to fit in or simply blend in.
I think this works wonders with Cami's identity problems, how she is always a quiet character that fully blends in and who has been shown to copy other people.
Her weapon is her iconic violin because i wasn't legally allowed to give her anything else, hurrah for her
Eak: Knight of blood (holy shit hes karkat core)
A Knight is a class that serves their Aspect, acting to protect, enforce, or embody it. They are action-oriented, often putting themselves on the front lines to uphold the values of their Aspect. Blood represents bonds, loyalty, relationships, and the connections that tie people together. It is about being part of a group, maintaining trust, and navigating the responsibilities that come with interpersonal ties.
A Knight of Blood actively fights for the relationships and connections they care about. They protect friendships, family, or chosen allies, and their identity is closely tied to their ability to preserve these bonds. They may act as a stabilizing force in a group, intervening whenever relationships are threatened.
They are fiercely loyal and dependable, often placing the needs of others above their own. Their protective instincts can be overbearing at times, as they struggle with the idea of letting anyone drift away, even when it might be necessary.
Yeah :3 this is Eak to me, he sure is like that
And thats all!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I homestucked it out I really did!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! If you read all that thank you sorry I homestucked it out!!!!!!!!!!!! hurrah!!!!
