Earl-Jean - I’m Into Something Good (1964)
This Goffin-King song was made famous by Herman’s Hermits, but this is the wonderful original by Earl-Jean McCrea of the Cookies.

The original version...
The Cookies "Don't Say Nothin' Bad (About my Baby)" single [1963]. Just listen to the way Earl-Jean sings ,"So girl you better shut your mouth!" Written by Gerry Goffin and his wife Carol King.* *It's weird because later on, Earl-Jean winds up pregnant, the father being Gerry. Yet Carol co-wrote this song before all this. Just a strange thing I found out and thought I'd share.
