Painted tomb (1801) from Sarno by Dan Diffendale Via Flickr: The painted scenes represent a procession of three men and a woman toward a woman seated on a stool. The facing short side bears a large metal hydria, and the facing long side three garlands. Tomb 1801, necropolis at Sarno, loc. Galitta del Capitano. Excavated 18 September 2002. The chamber tomb contained the inhumation of an adult, probably female. Late 4th c.
