When I was 21, I was forced to leave school due to things I had no control of. Two weeks after I left, I got a job at one of the top mortgage servicing companies in the nation. When I felt there was no opportunity for growth in my team, I applied to be a Delta flight attendant, a position coveted by hundreds of thousands of people each hiring round, and I somehow along the 1,300 to be chosen. I flew to Atlanta nervous af, only to be surrounded by people I would come to love like family. I flew for a year before injuring myself, and for another year until I NEEDED to get surgery... Three years later, I am proud to say that I was apart of a company that helped me travel the world. From duck confit and the Eiffel Tower in Paris to Elmina in Ghana, I’ve seen and learned and done so much, I’ve been places I could only dream of, met people that made me nervous, and I will never forget anything I’ve been taught. As of today, my time as a flight attendant has come to an end. Although I am sad it’s over, I will carry those people who have touched my life in my heart for the REST of my life. To my friends (y’all know who you are!!) I love y’all! I thank God I was able to meet you. My life would not be the same without any of you!!! To E Class (especially E4!!) Thank you for everything. I wouldn’t have made it through without the constant support. I’ll miss seeing you all in the airport!! Take care of the skies for me!! #FarewellDelta #Earnedmywings #FlightAttendant #travelnoire #travel
