In most cultures, eating is a sacred ritual. By consuming the energy of something else, you in turn take on that energy. For years, food made me ill and depressed, coupled with eating disorder struggles. So I stopped eating, which is never the answer. When I finally chose to lovingly work through the distorted images, I realized it wasn't food itself, but what I was consuming, the energy I absorbed. For me, eating meat never felt right. Last year, I cut meat and most dairy. The last few months I transitioned to vegan for many reasons. Supplementing with veggies, grains, fruits, etc was more difficult than imagined, as the portion sizes and frequency naturally grew. But I feel stronger, brighter, healthier emotionally, mentally, physically. I am more grounded and comfortable in this body. This, and yoga, made the difference. Body dysmorphia weighs more on me some days, yet it is from a place where I know I can mindfully heal 🙏 #vegan #poweredbyplants #eatingdisorderrecovery #recovery #reflection #personaldevelopment #mindful #yogalife #yogawarrior #highestself #hope #mentalhealth #mentalhealthawareness #earthconcious #healthyliving #healing #selfcare #fwfg #yoga #movementismedicine #energy #growth #growthroughwhatyougothrough #motherearth #hippie #food #ytt #mindfuleating #wildling #wildwoman
