Billy Loomis/Stu Macher/Reader Easter egg hunt
(This only took me a feckin month. Welp, it's here now. Sorry if Billy is OOC, he's sooo hard to write when he's not stabbing people.)
You hadn’t done anything for Easter since you were a little kid, but as the holiday approached you really wanted to relive those fond memories. Your boyfriends needed a little fun anyways. Stu had probably had Easters growing up, but Billy couldn’t remember his few Easters much at all. You were determined to make this a great Easter, at any cost.
You kinda regretted the ‘any cost’ as you forced yourself to hand over way too much money for plastic eggs and candy. You had no qualms with stealing, but trying to smuggle plastic eggs and industrial bags of chocolate and skittles- Stu was a sucker for skittles- out of a store was a feat even you weren’t capable of.
Hiding anything from Billy was a chore, but you were a pretty good lier yourself. You sincerely apologized mentally every time you lied to slip away, hoping this played out right.
Your old house had a pine forest behind it and was pretty secluded, so there is where you enacted your plan. After stuffing way too many Easter eggs and putting them everywhere you could reach, you stood back and admired. Colorful plastic eggs were everywhere, appearing as little flashes of yellow, blue, and pink in a brown and grey landscape. It felt happy.
You went home that night to a suspicious Billy and a happy go lucky Stu. You let Stu rush and pick you up, spinning you around as you buried your face in his shoulder. He was always the more affectionate in the relationship, but Billy was downright distant as the night progressed.
Sleeping was usually you walled in by two warm bodies, Stu wrapped around/ half on top of you while Billy bracketed you with an arm thrown across your stomach. Tonight, however, Billy sat at the edge of the bed for a long time, thinking. You sighed, snuggling up against Stu while your eyes remained on Billy. You know that he didn’t like secrets and he had to know you were keeping some, but there was only one more day to go. You could make it.
You woke up to no Billy, but what you were pretty sure that smell was burnt toaster waffles, so he definitely was home. Stu was laying fully on you, unresponsive as you frantically tapped him. This kid was heavy! Eventually you squirmed out from under him, stretching out and searching tiredly for something clean to wear. You found the nicest thing you could scare up and put it on, flipping off a grinning Stu when you caught his eye.
You laid on the kitchen counter when you finally went downstairs, giving Billy a small smile. He returned it, but looked conflicted, and you knew why. Billy was a human lie detector, he was trying to figure out why you were lying.
“C’mon guys,” You said as Stu blearily entered the kitchen, leaning against Billy as he was handed a coffee. Stu was a morning person, but he needed coffee as much as the rest of them. You were slid your coffee by an inquisitive Billy.
“I have a surprise.” You smiled behind the mug, eyes sparkling with mischief. Stu was interested immediately, repeatedly poking you for answers, meanwhile Billy studied you. Billy was a looker in more ways then one, he studied everything and everyone. You often wondered what he saw in your eyes, and what he thought about it.
After the three of you were presentable, something that took significantly longer thanks to Stu, you all set off. Billy stared at you the whole drive, occasionally breaking character when Stu got you to laugh, which was often. That man should never be in the back seat- or the front seat really- he was a driving hazard!
You pulled up to the house and turned around to face the boys, a smile on your face. Stu was craning his neck to see everything, leaning forward over the center console.
“What is it?” He asked, tilting his head as you got out of the car to go around to the trunk. You had purchased two baskets, one a normal blue and green, the other horrendously pink and sparkly. As the boys came around the car, you handed the sparkly one to Billy. He wasn’t amused.
“Easter! Come on, please? It’s a bonding thing!” You used your puppy eyes, and you were pretty sure Stu was as well. Billy stood no chance.
He rolled his eyes, but hooked arms with you as you both watched Stu scale a fucking tree for an egg. That boy never ceased to amaze you.
“You know, I was wondering why you kept sneaking out.” Billy drawled in your ear, leaning close against you in a way he knew would rule you up. Billy was good at picking up little things like that.
“I know. I was just waiting for interrogation.” You looked over with a smile.
“That sounds fun.” He purred, right into your ear like the demon he is.
“I’m glad you trusted me enough to wait to kill me though.” You laughed, but a certain soberness was in your eyes. You know how Billy felt about cheating, and you knew that if you ever strayed- not that you ever planned to- he would definitely kill you.
There was the same soberness in his eyes, he knew too. You both knew that he had run through every scenario in his head and probably had already made some form of a plan just in case. It was a sad testament to what he had been through.
“You know, I’d never do something like that to you and Stu.” You said softly, bending down to grab a plastic egg and fiddle with it, leaning against Billy. He had handed off his basket to Stu, who was definitely enjoying this the most out of everyone.
“I know that, but... I don’t know, I get worried sometimes.” He admitted, shrugging one shoulder. You looked up at him, slightly surprised. Billy was very closed off, he usually didn’t admit to weakness.
“I know. But, today isn’t a day for sadness, it’s Easter! Come on, I didn’t bring us here to watch Stu find all the damned eggs.” You gave Billy a kiss on the cheek before you straightened up, grabbing his hand.
“Come on! Let’s stick it to Stu!” He let himself be dragged along behind you.
