Let's play😏🪅
This year, I used natural plant dyes. Try to guess which ingredients I used. And what kind of grass is that in the second photo?🪺🌿🌿😌
Давайте поиграем😏🪅
В этом году я использовала натуральные красители из растений. Попробуйте угадать, какие ингредиенты я использовала. И что это за трава такая на второй фотографии? 🪺🌿🌿😌
Since you enjoyed my painted eggs last year, here is this year's batch
💚⚜️🌿Happy Easter🌿⚜️💚
Happy easter! 🐣
We had the main Easter procession. Yes that's a real man with the cross and on the cross; not nailed though, as it still happens in the Philippines***. The cross, just to you know, is incredibly heavy.
Now, the whole country is off to eat fanesca, the traditional Easter soup made once per year ( because it's SO MUCH WORK!). The main ingredients are: bacalao or dry salted cod, a mix of fresh squash and hard squash, fava beans, chochos, corn, peas, fresh beans, onions, garlic, cumin, achiote, peanuts, milk, cream, cheese, boiled eggs, plantain, avocado, empanadas...and probably more. Calling it " hearty" is an understatement.
*** the practice is discouraged by the Church and the government
