trail rides with eastfall

I finally wrote up my exercise program with Eastfall so now it should be a lot more organised, and hopefully we should start seeing results of it soon. One item that shows up a lot in my exercise programs is trail rides. Dew’s Farm just beyond Wolf’s Inn is beautiful, it makes you wonder what happened there.

Everybody meet Honeydale! She’s a 14.2hh Haflinger, who I have bought as a dressage prospect! She’s from Jorvik Stables and is now 4. I’ve had her a week and she is going to a local stable show next weekend. I’ll post pictures of my show with Misty later :)

Update vol. 2

 This is an update of my horses that I own myself so it will definitely be a far shorter update! They don’t all live with me but they’re all my horses so I thought they deserved a second update!

Lovesong! She’s currently on agistment at Moorland so that South Hoof has more space for rescues and she’s so good with the beginners! I’d normally not like my horse being ridden by so many different people but he’s always been a very sensible horse and he’s doing well! If I move stables I’ll have to think about whether to keep him on livery.

Redshade! I’m so glad I chose her as a dressage project! She was previously being shown in-hand and at local pony club shows for best groomed, so I had to break her in and get her used to saddle. She’s got steady transitions and can hold a gait for a full lap so now we’re just expanding on that! If I ever sell her I have no doubt that she’ll get her full worth!

Oldwhisper! A little bit of backstory because he hasn’t been talked about much! Oldwhisper is from an endurance background and was doing well but had to be sold before the new broodmares came in. He’s doing well with endurance here and we might see if he’s good for trail riding, because then we could help out with the Mistfall Rangers!

Eastfall! It’s been a few months since I gave an update on this precious boi, and he is doing well! We’re competing at unaffiliated showjumping and eventing well! We’re hoping to compete at JSA (Jorvik Show-jumping Association) competitions before September, but we’ll see how that goes because I do have to manage all four horses.

Pictures of 2018 - pt. 2

So, all in all, it was a great year on SSO for me! I met Laila, a fellow New Zealander in the UK, started our club together, hung out with so many cool people, decided to actually train, was way more productive and I don’t think my online life this year was terrible! A lot of my favourite pictures aren’t good quality, because they’re my favourites because of the memories with them instead. So here’s to 2019!
