This installment takes place during the Georgian Era, as inheritance issues between the two orphaned Warwyck brothers leads one to “buy” a wife at a bride auction in Brighton in order to gain the ancestral manor, then plan to discard her in favour of an aristocratic woman he longs for, who can further his ambitions to turn the village into a fashionable resort.

Description
Flush in the pocket with winnings from his most recent fight, renowned pugilist Daniel Warwyck finds himself bidding at a strange and barbaric auction in Brighton for a young woman named Kate.
Kate, who has seen more than her share of suffering, clashes frequently and fiercely with Daniel, her quiet and enigmatic exterior hiding a spine of steel.
Though not in the market for a wife, Daniel realises he can make use of the newly bought Kate to regain his birthright — the inheritance of Warwyck Manor.
It rapidly becomes clear, however, that fate has decreed Warwyck Manor never to be his.
No longer in need of a convenient wife, Daniel discards Kate and redoubles his efforts to become the next prize-fighting champion of England, an obsession only rivalled by his desire for, and pursuit of, vain and aristocratic Claudine Clayton.
It is in the village of Easthampton, which Daniel seeks to build into a fashionable seaside resort to rival Brighton, that Daniel’s bought wife and desired wife collide.
Daniel is finally forced to choose between Kate’s quiet and abiding love and Claudine’s fiery and heated passion.
Who will he choose?
Warwyck's Wife is a thrilling historical saga that will keep readers gripped to the last page.
