Daniel is finally forced to choose between Kate’s quiet and abiding love and Claudine’s fiery and heated passion.

Description
She belonged to one man, yet loved another - torn between love and honour...
Juliette Delahousse came to Norfolk from France to be a bride. Like all Frenchwomen, fiercely passionate, Juliette knew the arts of love. Exiled to England by her jealous stepmother, betrothed to a cold stranger, she yearned for the one man who could quell her surging desires. Then she met him -- Blake Lockington, her husband's elder brother.
As the Napoleonic wars raged across Europe, Juliette's smouldering beauty ignited another dark battle -- a flaming struggle between two brothers.
But will one of them be destroyed before the winner can claim his prize?
I didn't know Rosalind Laker before but she's now one of my favorite writers. In this family saga, we follow four generations of women (Marguerite, Jasmin, Violette and Rose). The first one lives under the Sun King's reign and sees all of Versailles' splendour. Her daughter, Jasmin, meets Louis XV but doesn't have the life she wanted. Violette, her daughter, catches the eye of the king and finally Rose, Jasmin grand-daughter, becomes Marie-Antoinette's dear friend.
I enjoyed a lot this book even if there was some slow parts in the end. I was really immersed in the time period and liked the way she described the principal characters and of course Louis XIV, XV, and Marie Antoinette. To Dance with Kings should please any historical fiction fan.
