Carrot Dogs ! 🥕 I get so happy when I find a recipe that mimics the same flavors as another food, but with actual health benefits 🤗 I won't even get into what's actually in a normal hot dog 😵 it may seem odd to you, but just give it a shot🤷🏻♀️ don't be afraid to try something new. That's the whole point of being on this healthy road.. you try things that you never thought you would and turn outs you actually like them! I just ate all 4 of these and thought "😬 can't believe I just ate that many" thinking it was unhealthy, then I quickly realized it's just a carrot, so I can eat as many as I want! ☺️ Carrot Dogs 4 large peeled carrots ( buy individually, they're larger than the packaged ones) 4 whole wheat or sprouted hot dog buns 3/4 cup Tamari (soy sauce) 2 Tbsp liquid smoke 2 Tbsp vegan Worcestershire sauce 2 Tbsp maple syrup 2 Tbsp ketchup 2 cups water In a medium saucepan, whisk together liquid ingredients. Add carrots and bring to a boil. Reduce heat to medium and let simmer until carrots are tender. You don't want to overlook them and make them mushy, you want them a little tender like the consistency of a hot dog. About 8-10 minutes depending on the size.
