Healthy Snacks for School
So, I don’t know about you guys, but sometimes I get really hungry in class. Or, I’m bored and just feel the need to eat something, even if I’m really not that hungry. So here’s my list of healthy snacks to bring with you to class :)
cheese and deli meat squares
mini triscuts. You can add cheese too
an apple with some peanut butter - bring your serving in a small tupperware rather than the entire jar so you don’t over munch.
celery sticks and peanut butter
carrots with hummus - bring the hummus like the peanut butter
I have a friend who brought cooked sweet potato chunks - that works too
an orange or small cuties - tip though, peel them before you leave and put them in a plastic bag. Personally, I hate peeling them in class without being able to wash my hands
in season, pineapple chunks can be good
I always keep an extra granola bar in my backpack just in case I forgot to put one in it in the morning
air popped popcorn. Air popped is a better way to eat popcorn because YOU know whats on it and in it. My roommate got her popper for like $10 at Big Lots. We use it almost every day, so it's a good investment if you enjoy popcorn.
Greek yogurt (I have an insulated pocket in my backpack that I put an ice pack in)
Snap Peas (I've found the flavored and baked kind an am totally addicted)
grapes (my roommate likes to eat them with peanut butter... )
Rice cakes topped with peanut butter (what can you not eat with peanut butter?)
Personally, I really like things that crunch to fulfill my oral fixation during class, but be careful. Some classrooms have great acoustics and low absorption, so if the only noise in the room is your prof's voice, may wanna lessen your embarrassment by not eating the crunchy foods like carrots and celery on this list in class.
