What if the reason they dislike the movie has nothing to do with race? Like they thought it was stupidly edited and all the movement made them nauseous? Maybe someone didn't like BP because the actors didn't speak loud enough and they couldnt hear the dialogue over the score? But thought it was better on bluray because of subtitles

That’s not the point of the post. Yes, those movies can have legitimate flaws and you can personally dislike them. The point of the post is that you shouldn’t shit on people who do like them, especially not for reasons that get ignored in every other movie. OP is right, Frozen is designed poorly and has less than fantastic music, but when you criticize it people pour in screaming “But it’s so good!!!!!!!” Why can people let Frozen’s flaws go, but when OP says Black Panther is good, you feel entitled to shove your personal dislikes in their face?

On Birthdays.

I rarely feel inclined to make my birthday a big hooha. In fact, I never really saw the point of making such a big deal about it. Of course, to a certain extent, I still enjoyed it (I mean, c’mon, PRESENTS!). But like I said, never saw the need for making a big grandeur event of it. And I think the cause of this is that I used to think Birthdays were meant for celebrating the day you were born. I guess I just didn’t understand why you’d want to celebrate something that happened so long ago. Instead of celebrating a day that happened so long ago, why don’t we celebrate the ardous year that we just had? Why not celebrate the amount we’ve grown, the amount we’ve gained, the amount we’ve lost? Because like it or not, you aren’t the same person you were 1 year before on your birthday. Shouldn’t that deserve some recognition?

On that note, and with that perspective on birthdays in mind, I’d very much like to make my birthday this year somewhat special. But I’m pretty broke and I doubt I have enough time to save since its coming up in a few weeks time. Sigh… such is life.
