Well shit... my own hashtag on the earlier photo led me to a post that informed me that #EbonyCamera ceased operations yesterday. Hiromi Sakanashi and his team hand make each camera from ebony heartwood, or in the case of my RW-45 field #viewcamera, fully cured pattern grade mahogany. The titanium hardware and Japanese lacquer make for rigid movements no matter the ambient humidity. I bought mine new in '07 and absolutely love it.
