Well, the dive into the recent past (around the time of Vendy's birth) is complete! From here on the narrative will be more or less linear.

As you can see, I stopped forgetting about the drawing on the Burned's face, but I forgot to remove the sketch, haha

I hope you'll forgive me for forgetting about the symbol on the Burned's face on the last two pages. If I sit down to redo them, it will take God knows how long 😞

Some info dump:

Celestial Heralds are a rare species of dragon that live on a small volcanic archipelago. Their culture has acquired some distortions over the centuries of isolation, although not as much as that of the Mountain Clan of Night Furies. The most important thing is that they completely deny magic, the Great Empress, Jormungandr and other indisputable facts of the history of their world. They worship a dormant volcano and do not tolerate dissent. Inferno was only able to survive thanks to his father, who is the last known Mage of the Eclipse and is therefore under the protection of the Archmage.

And here is the page I redesigned. It's not that I wanted to change the atmosphere, rather, after fixing the mistakes, I just couldn't decide which option was better

Meet the

Burned by the Sun,

father of the Young Emperor!

Basic data:

• Age: 1st picture - about 35 years old, 2nd picture - latest 40 / early 50

• Species: Celestial Herald

1. He is Inferno's blood father.

2. Before Michelangelo's discovery, the Burned by the Sun was believed to be the last Eclipse Mage.

3. A close friend of Maima and Torbjorn.

4. Regularly and unsuccessfully flirts with Stormy Night. The Archmage is adamant, but the old man doesn't lose hope.

5. He made a deal with one of the Eternals, called Seraphim, which resulted in Inferno becoming a kind of embodiment of the Eternal.

6. Burned loves sweets very much. Fruits, honey, sweet tree sap, berries bring him into puppy delight.

7. Burned by the Sun is not his real name, but a nickname given to him by the Mages Guild for his deal with the Eternal.

8. One of the few Eclipse Mages who can cast the "Crying Sky" spell. This is indicated by the drawing on his face.

9. Along with Storm Night, he trains and mentors Mikey. In general, Burned treats his young student more like a beloved grandson than the next powerful mage.

The upper end is directed towards the nose, the lower end towards the horns.
