“Well fuck me for asking for directions,” she huffed before turned around, making sure to hit the stranger with her backpack. Her eyes turned dark as she walked away, staring up at all the signs on the building in confusion. The letters were nothing but gibberish to her. She still wasn’t all that good at reading Korean, Seungjung hadn’t been the greatest teacher. It was a miracle she even learned to speak properly with his teachings, but that didn’t help her now. She had gotten lost in a new part of Seoul and no one seemed to be at all helpful.
The woman had been walking in circles and Kyungsoo was the only one to notice, after standing in front of that shop waiting for the drizzles to die down for nearly half an hour. He didn’t mean to be rude when she finally had to courage to ask, but what irked him was her high-pitched voice startling all the people walking by, eventually making some of the ice cream he held drip over to his newly polished shoes. So much for my weekly shoeshine, he grumbled selfishly, cursing his adversity and the weather too. He couldn’t control that, so he chose to blame the woman in front of him instead. But only after a few seconds did he realize that she accidentally left a small note on the floor, with a few scribbles in it which appeared to be illegible directions. As much as he loathed swallowing his pride, he didn’t want to give the loud stranger any more misfortune. His conscience bugged him enough. “Hey, you forgot something!”
