Books I recently checked out of the library

I am starting to run out of books (that I have researched beforehand) at the library so I grabbed two that seemed interesting. I am planning on buying books soon though.

My Life as a White Trash Zombie by Diana Rowland- I think I have looked up this book before. This book grabbed my eye at the library. It seems rather up my alley.

Echo Rising by Dante Ware- This book sounded interesting. I hope its good.

Robopocalypse by Daniel H. Wilson. - This was on my list of books to check out.

A book I wanted and was 600 pages (which would last me a while) was put on hold for someone else so couldn't get that.

The scream that he issued into the red dawn was primeval, eye-wateringly loud and stratospheric in pitch. Every sizable piece of glass that had survived the blaze vibrated fiercely before shattering explosively, spraying jagged shards outwards with considerable force. Some of the glittering fragments soared around the ashen and disarrayed Arisbe, catching the crimson light and casting triangles of refracted scarlet onto his shirt sleeves, his hands, even one over his cheek. Across the street tiny pieces of mortar crumbled away from their bricks and chips of masonry flew through the air, which itself sang as though under tension.

Me rambling about the lastest chapter of my original project

So, in the chapter I literally just finished writing, Pan and Leda meet on a dark night and start mutually hitting on each other, until they exchange names and Pan leaves, having freaked out to the extent of his limited ability to lose his cool.

Because, oops, Leda just might be his daughter. Although odds are, she isn't.

I swear I did not mean to write this. (BTW, Pan is an ageless vampire).

Firstly, no one humours me, secondly harmless is the last word you should be thinking about me. Cocky, though...I'll grant you that one.

Amelia just knocked Cass to the ground and Alexandra is standing there in a pool of broken glass watching them fight like 'yeah, this is normal. Doesn't require my intervention, nope.'

She's supposed to be Amelia's partner in crime, so to speak. Impassivity is not how that works!

Fabian: A glass coquette would be impractical

Cass: A china sheperdess would suit you better, no doubt. My next project then.

Why does everything I write feel so clumsy and horrible? I just want it to flow easily, like it used to-or, failing that, at least not be unreadable or boring when I finally get it down on paper.
