COMMISSIONS OPEN!

Finally! I’ve come up with a design for this freak that I like! It took a really long time, but here she finally is! Aaaand, I think I can share some of her lore now, since it’s more properly fleshed out!

Originally, Echo was built by Dr. Eggman to replace Elise, as he had plans to kidnap her and take over Soleanna. Echo was supposed to be like a dummy, a vessel that the doctor could control and order to do whatever he wanted. This was the plan.

She was inserted with as much knowledge on the Princess as possible, so she could act as close to her as possible. However, part way through her creation, whether it be a glitch, a remix of code, or some sort of virus, Echo stopped responding to orders. In fact, she became fully sentient, fully her own being. And something about her now was violent.

Now, because she was filled with so much about Elise, Echo became just a bit obsessed towards her; stalking her for literal days and nights. She knew exactly when she could get to her, she knew everything about her after all. Though, she didn’t plan to kill her till she was right there in the room.

Not long after, Echo realized that she actually loved to learn about people, everything. Not just their likes and dislikes, their wants, goals, or fears. But them. Their bodies. Their blood and flesh. The thought; what actually makes you a person? What makes you truly alive? She wanted to know everything.

So, with her originally set goal, she took Elise’s place. Using her flesh as a perfect mask to hide who she truly was. Letting no one be the wiser.

I haven’t seen much of “Building a self aware robot”. But from what I have seen, it makes me think of Echo a lot. Though, Echo is a lot more insane, than oddly bittersweet and sad than that robot seems.
