Wait, so every time Sonic dies, Smile gets another life? So it is theoretically possible to kill him permanently, so long as Sonic stops dying?

Or do you just mean that he would have to show his true form with no Sonic corpse to hide in?

He uses Sonic’s previous dead corpses as a makeshift skin suit. It’s why he has uneven colouring and stitching in his design. He made it himself :)
