He's not going to turn on me. Not any time soon, at least. By the time he finally has enough guts to stand up to me and deal with detox again - because this time it's going to be so much harder to quit, it'll be too late. The ball has already started to roll and is quickly gaining speed, even as we speak.
What makes Sammy better than the others? What did you do to him that you didn't do to the others? You took everything from us. You don't get Sammy too.
What makes him better is that he survived. I didn't treat any of the children differently, waited for the best to walk onto the spotlight. Sam just rose to the occasion. If he didn't show such promise, I wouldn't have chosen him. Maybe you should have raised him a little more poorly. You know, besides dragging him around the country and teaching him how to use a gun by the age of five.
So what are you really playing at? Why Sammy? We're not lettin' you have 'im. So why don't you just go make some new psychic kids and leave us alone?
Sam is already mine. Has been since before he was born. Always has, always will. Why should I make new psychic kids when I already have the best of the best? It took me years to make him... who's to say I'll make one just like him? I don't have the time to sit and wait around, not like I used to.
