Edith made sure everything was perfect, not a thing out of a place, this was to be the party of the year, of course, and no one was going to ruin that. She moved around the party smiling and laughing with most of her guests. Being sociable was quite the skill she picked owning a club and all but that left little time for showing one’s true face. Everyone here had something to hide, something that fractured their perfect little masks. “Darling, please tell me that drink in your hand is to share, I think I’ve whether enough of this idle chatter sober” She chuckled softly.

Lilith leant back against the bar, martini glass in hand. Truthfully, she found the name of her character for this party absolutely ridiculous. Who the fuck was named Sandy Botox? Her occupation, however, was extremely interesting. She turned her head, giving the person who had moved to stand next to her a smile. It was a mischievous one, and she used her free hand to lift the stethoscope hanging around her neck. “If you’re here to inquire about getting work done, you definitely don’t need it. event 002. 1920′s murder mystery dinner

no one does the holidays like éclatant and it’s a very well known fact. poinsettias and tinsel and lit pine trees adorn the famous establishment as people travel from different places to enjoy the holiday spectacular shows. after a successful murder mystery dinner rehearsal, the club is ready to open their doors for their annual interactive show. by now, everyone has received their red and gold invitations with exact instructions including their given character and the address to mallory’s costume store so that they can pick up their roaring twenties outfit for the night. mafia members and club employees are all invited and chosen citizens have received their golden ticket. each ticket grants patrons a chance to enter the 50/50 holiday raffle and a $150 gift card for local stores. as rehearsed, the rounds for the dinner remain the same and the dinner will end with the “murderer” confessing their crime. every time the lights go out in the club, a new person has been murdered until one person remains. 

WHEN: thursday, december 5th, cocktail hour begins at promptly 8:00 pm WHERE: club éclatant WHO’S INVITED: everyone, including club employees, are encouraged to participate.

this event will take place between the dates of thursday, december 5th and saturday, december 7th culminating in a giant plot drop that will affect every character in the rp. please keep eyes peeled for the event summary that will be posted on the evening of december 7th. current non-event threads need not be paused, but please do not start new non-event threads during this time to avoid confusion. you may also transition current threads into the event as well ! your character shoud be dressed in 1920′s attire for this event so feel free to post photos of their wardrobe ! please use the tags eclatantevent002 and eclatantstart002 for event related photos, posts, and starters. participation is not mandatory, but it is encouraged as the conclusion of this event is of great importance for all characters.

what an INTERESTING evening to say the least. if you would’ve told margot a week ago this is where she’d be she would’ve laughed. but, it is fun. though don’t ask her she’ll deny it. becoming the famous film star is certainly a wonderful excuse to dress in one of her finest suits and a cane to accent. why not go all out right? she hasn’t interacted with many people,. frankly because she doesn’t know exactly how to go about the whole character vibe. but, it really isn’t that off from her actual personality---how fitting. and now that she’s had a few drinks in her margot is ready to loosen up. she’s sipping on her latest drink as she speaks to the person nearest to her. “ i’ve been to a lot of parties in my day. but this...this would make even gatsby jealous, darling. “

“So this is club Eclatant...” Maya spoke out loud though barely just a whisper as she was speaking to no one in particular. Of course the woman had heard about the club not long after arriving into town but the opportunity to visit hadn’t arisen, nor was she the type to seek it out. Especially when finding a suitable babysitter was such a process. However the invitation had been intriguing, and also a reminder to how long it had been since she’d been to a party or done anything but work and spend time with Aydin. So she’d made the effort gone down to the costume shop and found her current ensemble. Sexy waitress hadn’t been a go, she was too self conscious of her body post pregnancy for that, not to mention she never shown even a hit of skin before her divorce when she was still pretending to be more pious than she’d ever been. So it still didn’t come easy. Sipping on a flute of champagne and glancing around for a familiar face, though perhaps not the one that was too familiar. At least that’s what she was telling herself.

    marlie maplin is the greatest comedic mime of all times. he is the best silent film comedy star in hollywood, and everyone loves to be around him as he constantly performs humorous mimes. just don’t get on his bad side, as his mime-mockery sessions can be brutal.
