Gem and Pearl are always going to have a piece of eachother.

Pearl keeps the engagement ring she proposed to Gem with, around her neck, in promise that they'll have a real wedding one day.

While Gem has her hoodies, hoodies are a big part of Pearl, the black and red ones, black means pride and story, red means vulnerability and comfort. She wears them to sleep whenever her love isn't there physically.

If they aren't near eachother physically, then they'll be together spiritually. Because they won't forget about eachother.
