change is something sooyoung has always tried to embrace in spite of any circumstance, even if she'd rather have her hair permanently long and light brown for anything kt-promotional related than deal with something as life altering as moving. it's a foreign concept to her, living with anyone that she wasn't related to, and a part of wonders if the variances in their personalities would serve each of them well as roommates or if they would clash like she had heard about from so many ex-roommate pairs.
still though, sooyoung figures that it's better to get moving over with as soon as possible, and by the time that the ninth rolls around, she's more than a little relieved to find that tiffany must have had the same line of thinking. the evening of, sooyoung finds herself lounging on the couch as her eyes wander, before looking over to tiffany. everything still feels a little bit like a fever dream, and she wonders if she's the only one that feels this way. they're the only two in the dorm, and despite their penchant for not being afraid to goof around with each other, tiffany is the only person she trusts enough to confess real feelings to. "fanyfany~" she laughs a little somberly, "did you ever think we'd really get to this point?"
After the first critical step of recording the debut song concludes, the Eclipse girls find themselves in a whirlwind schedule that will only get busier. Call it Katie Lee’s obsession with creating the ‘Next Big Thing,’ call it her determination to get her company’s name once more on every passerby’s lips-- once July begins, the members of Eclipse find themselves with very little time to rest. Despite her physical presence being required elsewhere (specifically, on the new season of the MGAs), Katie Lee’s creative voice for Eclipse is still heard ringing from the lips of every trainer who coaches the group towards debut.
In July, the girls are gathered in the recording studio and are given their B-side tracks to record in the same manner as the month before. Official line distributions for these songs will be linked to this post at a later time. The songs revealed to be included in the debut mini-album, in track list order, are the following:
Love Whisper ; previously recorded
One-Half ; recorded the weekend of July 13-14
White ; recorded the weekend of July 20-21
Gone With the Wind ; recorded the weekend of July 27-28
Instrumental Outro
[ Song distributions are located here; Love Whisper ]
Both days of the weekend are reserved for the recording studio (from 8AM TO 4PM) while the weekdays will be devoted to regular training as normally scheduled. In addition to learning and recording the B-side tracks, the girls will be taught the choreography to “Love Whisper” for their future debut stage (as seen in this reference video.) At this time, this is the only choreography to be learned. Vocal trainer Kang Haneul will oversee the learning of songs and subsequent recording of the B-side tracks while dance trainer Kim Geonwook will teach and oversee the progress of the debut choreography. At the end of the month, on July 31st, the members of Eclipse will perform the debut song, its choreography, and a live vocal rendition of all B-side tracks (minus the outro) for an exclusive panel of trainers for critique. This group will include Kang Haneul and Kim Geonwook as well as Katie Lee, who has set time aside in her schedule to personally attend this performance.
(OOC-wise, the critique will be prepared individually for your muses and given to you next month. You do not need to include IC critique into your solos.)
For this month’s evaluation, write one four post thread or one 300+ words solo about any part of this schedule (learning the choreography, recording the B-side tracks, etc.) for +3 POINTS TO DISTRIBUTE AS YOU WISH, +1WK RELEVANT ACHIEVEMENT and +2 DEBUT POINTS.
The tag for this evaluation will be #eclipse:juleval and posts should be up by midnight EST at the end of July 31st. Eclipse members are told not to share the information given to anyone outside of KT or else they’ll risk losing their place on the debut team.

Last but not least, Kang Haneul shares with the group members that the plans for their new living situation have been finalized. In order to strengthen the bond between the trainees, all members of Eclipse will be expected to move into a dormitory together in the upcoming week. Specifically, the doors will open on July 9th, and Eclipse members should be moved completely into their new dormitory by July 12th. For more specific details regarding the building itself, please refer to this page.
With a slight groan caused by a mixture of tiredness and frustration, when break time is called on the practice for Eclipse’s debut choreography, Taeyeon finds a spot near the wall and flopped onto her back, closing her eyes for a moment. They had been practicing the song for several hours now and she still couldn’t seem to get the steps right. She had been doing this for over four years now, she would have thought that she would be okay with it by now.
Hearing footsteps coming over, she blinked her eyes open and looked up, spotting Yeri in her field of view. “Yeri-ah...” she groaned, looking up at her. “If I don’t make it, speak well of your unnie on TV, okay? Tell them I just couldn’t dance enough to make it out of here alive...” she laughed slightly, despite the aches and pains in her body. “Are you doing okay?” she asked, wanting to know how the other was holding up. It was a lot of hard work to debut, so she couldn’t help but worry about the others when she was having her trouble too.
The days were long and getting hotter all the time and the girls of KT had a lot on their plates, namely the formation of their group, Eclipse. They were prepping their debut album and everything had to be just right. At the end of the month, they were doing a sort of mini showcase for the staff, including those that trained them, so they had to be on top of their game. They were only learning choreography for their single, but had to learn all of the b-side tracks in order to sing them that day.
Entering the practice room, Taeyeon smiled seeing one of the other trainees already in there, getting ready to work on more vocals. “Ah hello!” she waved with a bright smile, approaching Sooyoung. “How are you feeling about the songs now?” she asked, as always willing to check in on her, knowing the taller woman sometimes had trouble with the singing aspect, just like she had trouble with some of the dancing. They could even each other out that way.
